This privacy statement together with our website terms of use and any additional data privacy notices on our websites or in e-mails explains how Appleton Greene collects and uses the personal data of our website visitors, clients and business contacts. Any changes we may make to our privacy statement in the future will be posted on this page.
Appleton Greene & Co, hereby referred to as (AGC) is the corporate training division of Appleton Greene & Co Global Limited, which is a registered international company in the Cayman Islands. (AGC) services clients in most international locations. (AGC) trades from offices located in New York, George Town, Geneva and London, but operates as virtually as possible and has hundreds of independent Learning Providers, Consultants and Support Staff, located in most major cities worldwide, including emerging markets, all working remotely via (AGC) cloud servers.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
This policy applies only to information we collect on sites and applications owned or controlled by (AGC). (AGC) is not responsible for the data use practices of social or professional networks, online job boards, employment agencies, or third party companies not associated with (AGC), or any other companies independent of (AGC) who you may also have forwarded your personal contact details to.
DATABASE
Appleton Greene advertises business opportunities, vacancies and services from time to time in a variety of different media, including, but not exclusive to, internet service providers, social and professional networks, online recruitment agencies and boards, news media and special interest media. If you do not want to receive email communications from Appleton Greene & Co, then you can always opt out at any time.

Cookies: (AGC) uses “cookies” to help personalize and maximize your online experience and time online, including for storing user preferences, improving search results and tracking user trends. These cookies also help to ensure that any information that you enter into an online application form, is retained within your own personal computer and internet browser, subject of course to your own local computer and internet settings. INFORMATION STORAGE
(AGC) is committed to protecting the privacy of our users, and we strive to provide a safe, secure user experience. Your personal details and information are stored offline in a database which is located within a secure cloud server. As such your personal details stored on file at (AGC) cannot be hacked or accessed by third parties online. By using this site or application, you explicitly accept the collection, use and storage of your data as described in this Privacy Policy. Information collected on our sites and applications is stored in whole or in part within the Cayman Islands; therefore, your information may become subject to Cayman Island law. Our terms and conditions of service are also developed in accordance with and are governed by English Law.
INFORMATION COLLECTED
We collect the personal information you choose to provide us. This may include your personal contact name, email address, web site address and curriculum vitae or resume. It may also include information which you have entered into an (AGC) online application form. If you are a consultant, learning provider, or a client of (AGC), then you will have a communication and service support file which is stored offline. This file will incorporate details of any and all communications between you and (AGC) and is retained on file for future reference. You can request copes of any documents or communications within this file at any time. We would not have any other information and we do not monitor users activities on our internet or intranet web sites, although IP addresses are recorded for security purposes.
INFORMATION USE
(AGC) uses your information to provide details of employment opportunities, consultancy opportunities and (AGC) services which may be of interest to you. In some cases personal information about you may be published online within our web sites online. If for example, you have registered as an (AGC) approved or accredited Consultant, or a Certified Learning provider (CLP), then your professional profile, personal photograph and any other information that you have provided us with including professional articles for publication and distribution throughout the (AGC) client network and on the internet, will be available to the public online. This information may also be published within our company pages on social networks. In all cases, this information will have been provided by you personally and you will have consented to our terms and conditions of use beforehand by completing an online application form, which constitutes a legally binding contractual agreement, for the relevant service and these application forms are retained on file by (AGC) for future reference.
This information can also be copied, duplicated and re-published by third party companies or businesses that are not in any way associated with (AGC) and we understandably have no control over this. However, (AGC) does not publish any information which incorporates the personal contact details of members, such as postal addresses, email addresses, telephone numbers and all communications are strictly managed through (AGC) in order to protect individual confidentiality and security.
PERSONAL INFORMATION
Your curriculum vitae or resume will have been forwarded to us together with your original application. Once again, this is stored offline and is attached to a secure database which cannot be accessed or hacked online. If you elect to opt out of receiving further communications from (AGC), then your curriculum vitae or resume will be deleted and permanently destroyed, together with any and all other personal information about you that we may have on file. If you have been an employee, consultant or learning provider at (AGC), then your personal information and service history will be retained on file at (AGC) during your period of service and for a reasonable period of time after the service has expired for future reference.
We do not share information with any third party business or company that is not associated with (AGC). We are however unable to control the use of your personal data, which may already be held by independent third party social or business networks, online job boards, employment agencies, or indeed any other company or business that is not in any way associated with (AGC).
SENSITIVE PERSONAL DATA
We do not generally seek to collect sensitive personal data through this site. In the limited cases where we do seek to collect such data, we will do this in accordance with local data privacy law requirements. If you choose to provide us with unsolicited sensitive personal data, you consent to our using the data, subject to applicable law as described in this privacy policy. The term “sensitive personal data” refers to the various categories of personal data identified by European and other data privacy laws as requiring special treatment, including in some circumstances the need to obtain explicit consent. You should understand that the open nature of the Internet is such that information and personal data may flow over networks connecting you to our systems without security measures and may be accessed and used by people other than those for whom the data is intended. If you follow a link to any of these sites, please note that these sites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies or sites. We send commercial e-mail to individuals at our client or other companies with whom we want to develop or maintain a business relationship. You will then receive no further communications from (AGC) or any other companies associated with (AGC). All of your personal and contact details, including your curriculum vitae, will then be destroyed permanently and any future applications that you may make to (AGC) will not be processed. We have no desire to forward any communications or information to people who do not want to receive it. As such, if this is the case, then it is as much in our interests as it is in yours that you UNSUBSCRIBE.
Your statutory rights are not affected.
