Introduction
Appleton Greene recruits the services of Associate, Executive and Senior Consultants usually once every year. Appleton Greene is primarily a corporate training provider, specializing in the provision of standard and bespoke programs to client companies which focus upon business process improvement. We have an extensive portfolio of corporate programs available to clients, which are developed and implemented by hundreds of Appleton Greene Certified Learning Providers. However, these programs incorporate participation from a wide variety of Appleton Greene accredited Consultants, who each bring their own individual experience relating to the specific business and service skills which they have, the industry sectors they have worked within and the geographical locations where they have commercial knowledge.
If additional expert knowledge is required then our Learning Providers have access to hundreds of other Appleton Greene Consultants, with a variety of different industry sector experience and geographical experience, located within most major cities worldwide. The type of assignments undertaken by Appleton Greene Consultants ranges from participation in program delivery, including presentations, workshops and meetings, to providing specialist support via email. The majority of Appleton Greene accredited consultants work virtually from remote locations internationally using Appleton Greene cloud servers. If a physical presence is required, then clients would cover the cost of travel and accommodation disbursements.
Accredited Associate, Executive and Senior Consultants can also develop and establish their own Appleton Greene Accredited Consulting Service (ACS) based upon their own skills and experience.

Evaluation Process
Appleton Greene & Co takes great care to ensure that candidates are evaluated and assessed carefully before being offered a position as an accredited consultant. The application process takes a minimum period of four weeks and incorporates the provision of detailed service information and the requirement for the candidate to complete a detailed application form, incorporating Appleton Greene’s terms and conditions of service. This provides ample time for due consideration. You will need to allow a period of up to 7 business days for your application to be reviewed, evaluated and processed. Appleton Greene is limited in terms of the number of accredited consultant places that are available and applications are only usually considered once annually. The quality of applications that we receive at Appleton Greene is always extremely high and as such we reserve the right to respectfully decline applications, which are not considered to be of the required standard. If your application is ultimately approved, then a formal offer will be forwarded to you and you will then have a further 7 days in which to arrange the payment of your annual service fee. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Business Development
If you have taken the time to review the Appleton Greene web site, then you will have determined that the company is primarily a corporate training provider, specializing in the provision of standard and bespoke programs to client companies, which all focus upon business process improvement.
We have an extensive portfolio of corporate programs available to clients, which are developed and implemented by hundreds of Appleton Greene Certified Learning Providers. The common denominator with all of these programs is that they are all process-orientated. In other words, each program facilitates the implementation of a tangible process, within the client’s organization, enabling them to improve their process in relation to the specific service subject matter of the program. These programs can focus upon any of the following departments: Customer Service; E-business; Finance; Globalization; Human Resources; Information Technology; Legal; Management; Marketing; or Production. To see some examples of these, please select SERVICES from the home page followed by BESPOKE PROGRAMS. Because these programs are process orientated and are implemented over a sustainable period of time, usually 5 years, there is always a significant outsourcing requirement with each program. This is where Accredited Associate, Executive and Senior Consultants are required.
These programs incorporate participation from a wide variety of Appleton Greene Accredited Associate, Executive and Senior Consultants, who each bring their own individual experience relating to the specific business skills and services which they have, the industry sectors they have worked within and the geographical locations where they have commercial knowledge. If additional expert knowledge is required then our Learning Providers have access to hundreds of other Appleton Greene Consultants, with a variety of different industry sector experience and geographical experience, located within most major cities worldwide.
A Certified Learning Provider (CLP) will typically manage a portfolio of 10 client companies with one program, although many learning providers develop and implement multiple programs. There are approximately 750 learning providers now, which means that Appleton Greene can be servicing approximately 7,500 companies at any one time, although there are 500,000+ individual contacts within the Appleton Greene global client network. You can review our client list by selecting CLIENTS from the home page. There are also literally hundreds of testimonials available from clients which are published online and you should take the time to review these. Each individual client company will be outsourcing to a number of Appleton Greene Accredited Consultants, where there are business projects developed as a result of the individual Appleton Greene program, which is being implemented. Indeed approximately 70% of consultancy assignments are generated directly from Certified Learning Providers (CLP), so this proves to be a significant source of new business for Accredited Consultants and Learning Providers are rewarded by receiving an introduction fee amounting to 10% of the total invoice value of any and all consultancy engagements that are generated from their own training programs. The remaining 30% of consultancy assignments are generated by clients themselves.
The type of assignments undertaken by Appleton Greene Consultants ranges from participation in program delivery, including presentations, workshops and meetings, to providing specialist support via email or virtually through the Appleton Greene cloud servers. Indeed the majority of Appleton Greene accredited consultants work virtually from remote locations internationally using Appleton Greene cloud servers. Consultancy assignments can also be generated in relation to specific projects that clients may be planning and implementing, in relation to the Learning Provider’s program. For example, if a Learning Provider was implementing a Business Development program with a consumer product client located in New York, it may be that there is a requirement to develop new business within emerging markets, such as India, China, or South America, in which case Accredited Consultants with Business Development expertise and geographical experience within these locations, could be engaged by the Learning Provider because of their specific geographical knowledge and experience. Similarly, Accredited Consultants may also be engaged because of specific industry experience that they may have and which is subsequently requested by the client. Accredited Consultants may also be engaged because of specific service skills that they may have and which are perceived as necessary by the client.
Appleton Greene Business Development Process
There is no business development activity required on your part whatsoever. Appleton Greene is looking for Consultants, not Sales People.
CONSULTANT PROFILE FORM
Once your application to register as an Accredited Associate, Executive, or Senior Consultant has been processed, Appleton Greene will facilitate the development of your Consultant Profile. The purpose of the Consultant Profile is to provide potential clients and learning providers with an Executive Summary of your education, work experience, industry and geographical experience, service skills and corporate achievements. Clients and Learning Providers can then elect to search for this information by industry sector, or by geographical location, as and when they have a requirement to engage the services of Accredited Consultants.
To see some live examples of Consultant Profiles, please select CONSULTANTS from the home page, followed by one of the client service departments listed. Then select either SEARCH BY INDUSTRY or SEARCH BY LOCATION. The former option features a selection of industry sectors and when you click on the industry sector of your choice, the Accredited Consultants who work within the chosen industry sector will be featured in random order. Similarly, the latter option features a selection of geographical locations (continents, countries and cities) and when you click on the location of your choice, the Accredited Consultants who work within the chosen location will be featured in random order.
Only the last names of consultants are featured within the Consultant Profiles in accordance with Appleton Greene’s privacy and security policy. The complete names and personal contact details are only provided to registered clients after written authorization has been received by Appleton Greene. Clients can complete a Member Consultant Information Request Form, if they would like to receive further information about the Accredited Consultant they are interested in, but these application forms are forwarded directly to and are verified by Appleton Greene for authenticity. Please note that Member Consultant Information Request Forms are for client use only.
CLIENT INFORMATION GUIDE (CIG)
Once your Consultant Profile has been approved and published by Appleton Greene, your Client Information Guide (CIG) will then be developed. You can see a live example of this by visiting the following page: CLICK HERE. The purpose of the Client Information Guide (CIG) is to provide potential clients and learning providers with much more information about the proposed consulting services that you can provide, including an executive summary, service objectives, methodology, industry sectors, location countries, clients or employers, service benefits and service process. The Client Information Guide (CIG) is then linked to four optional client service application forms, namely the Bronze Client Service, the Silver Client Service, the Gold Client Service and the Platinum Client service, which potential clients and learning providers can then use to place direct consultancy service orders with you. Once again you can review examples of all of these client service order application forms and the associated terms and conditions of service therein, by visiting the following page: CLICK HERE and then by clicking on the appropriate client service application form. Please note that all of the client service order application forms are for client use only and are forwarded directly to Appleton Greene and are verified for authenticity.
ACCREDITED CONSULTANT PROMOTIONS
Once the Consultant Profile and Client Information Guide have both been developed, approved and published on the Appleton Greene web site, (usually within the first month) then Appleton Greene publishes and distributes this information via email to approximately 750+ Certified Learning Providers and 500,000+ contacts within the Appleton Greene global client network, gradually and over a sustainable period of time, throughout your designated period of membership. This enables you to create awareness and to establish credibility with learning providers and potential clients. Your Client Information Guide also incorporates four optional consulting service order application forms, enabling clients to place consulting service orders directly with you, after having reviewed the consulting services that you can provide. It may help you to understand the specific nature of the consulting services that you would be undertaking, if you take time to review each of the four client service order application forms, details of which are provided above.
TIME PLANNING
Your Consultant profile and Client Information Guide should both be developed and published within the first month of membership, depending upon your own current commitments of course. This means that Appleton Greene can usually start promoting these from the second month of membership, so it would certainly be possible to start generating interest and consulting service orders from the second month. Success will ultimately be determined by third party learning providers and client companies of course and each individual consultant’s service offerings will be entirely different. As such it is understandably impossible for Appleton Greene to provide individual consultants with a time plan for business development, because it will be different in each individual case. Appleton Greene understandably provides individual Accredited Consultants with no guarantees of success. However, the income projections provided within your service information guide are based upon the average annual income of all consultants featured within each service category.
SERVICE FEES
Appleton Greene charges an annual service fee of USD$950.00 for Accredited Associate Consultants (AAC), USD$1,225.00 for Accredited Executive Consultants (AEC) and USD$1,500.00 for Accredited Senior Consultants (ASC). These service fees merely cover the cost of developing the Consultant Profile, Client Information Guide and the provision of the Consultant Promotions Service, all of which are described in detail above. The potential financial risk to individual consultants is therefore negligible and it would certainly cost much more than this just to place one consultancy advert within an established media source, with a much less likely return on investment.
Appleton Greene also charges Accredited Consultants a 10% service fee on all assignments that are generated through Appleton Greene, together with a 10% introductory fee, which is usually payable to the introducing Learning Provider or Consultant. Accredited Consultants would only become liable for these service charges if and when they elect to accept any consultancy service orders that are placed with them through Appleton Greene and as such these service fees would be automatically deducted from your monthly income payments by Appleton Greene.
Accredited Consultants can also earn introduction fees themselves, amounting to 10% of the total invoice value of any client assignments, which they personally introduce to Appleton Greene, Learning Providers, or other Consultants. The minimum annual service fees can range from USD$12k for the Bronze Client Service, to USD$48k for the Platinum Client Service, so each individual client introduction fee can therefore range from USD$1,200 to USD$4,800 respectively using these examples. It is therefore always worth your while keeping your eyes and ears open.
FINANCIAL ACCOUNTS
Upon receipt of a client service order form, Appleton Greene verifies the service order for authenticity. The client service order is then forwarded onto the appropriate Accredited Associate, Executive, or Senior Consultant for their consideration. It is the Accredited Consultant’s prerogative to decide whether to accept or decline the service order. Upon written acceptance, Appleton Greene then processes the order and informs the legal department, who are responsible for processing the contractual agreement for a minimum period of 12 months and the accounts department, who will then issue an invoice to the client. Invoices are payable monthly in advance of service provision by clients by international bank wire transfer and the Accredited Consultant is then paid by Appleton Greene, when payment has been received by the client, again by international bank wire transfer, after deducting the 10% service fee payable to Appleton Greene and the 10% introduction fee payable to the introducing learning provider or consultant. It is the individual Accredited Consultant’s responsibility to produce and manage their own independent financial accounts and to manage their own tax affairs, depending upon their own individual tax jurisdictions. If you need further advice or assistance in this regard, then you should contact your local Accountant or Tax Adviser for assistance.
SUMMARY
When you consider the low annual service fee for Accredited Associate, Executive and Senior Consultants, the complete service that is provided by Appleton Greene in each case for the service fees levied and the potential professional and financial rewards that are available, the Accredited Consulting Service (ACS) represents an extremely low risk opportunity and provides suitable consultants with the opportunity to experience Appleton Greene for themselves, over a sustainable period of time, should their application ultimately be approved by Appleton Greene.
Consulting Service
So, what exactly is the Accredited Consulting Service (ACS) Client Information Guide?
Well, a picture speaks 1000 words, as they say, so it would probably be more beneficial for you to just take a look at a tangible example of an Accredited Consulting Service (ACS) Client Information Guide.
You can do so by visiting the following page: CLICK HERE
What you are looking at here is an Accredited Consulting Service (ACS) Client Information Guide, relating to an Organizational Transformation consultancy service, which is provided by Ms Trehan, a (Senior Consultant) at Appleton Greene. It is an information guide designed specifically for client use and enables clients to understand more about the consultancy services that are offered by this particular consultant. Towards the top of the information guide, there is a service summary, together with an image of the consultant and a direct link to an application form where clients can ask more questions about either the consultant, or the services they offer. You will then notice four boxes entitled Bronze Client Service (BCS), Silver Client Service (SCS), Gold Client Service (GCS) and Platinum Client Service (PCS). These represent four service entry options, which are made available to clients, together with a fixed monthly quotation for each service. The monthly fees quoted will differ of course, depending upon whether you are designated Associate, Executive, or Senior Consultant status. They also provide a summary of what is included within each service. These summary descriptions will understandably be different for each individual consulting service. Clients can then simply click on the required service option to be transferred to the relevant application form for each service. For example, if you click on the box entitled Bronze Client Service (BCS), then you will be able to access the Client Application Form that relates to this particular service. You can then peruse through each application form and review the terms and conditions associated with each individual service, which are featured towards the bottom of each application form.
Important note: Please do not complete any of these application forms yourself, because they are intended for client use only.
If you go back to the main page or: CLICK HERE and scroll down below the application form boxes, then you will see a variety of tabs entitled: Profile; Executive Summary; Service Objectives, Methodology; Industries; Locations; Clients, Benefits, Bronze Service, Silver Service, Gold Service and Platinum Service. The purpose of this section of the information guide is to provide your clients with more detailed information about your consulting service. In order to succeed as a consultant, it is not sufficient to just provide your clients with a copy of your resume or access to your social network profile. Clients will need to understand more about what you would actually do for them if they were to employ you as a consultant. The Accredited Consulting Service (ACS) provides you with a cost-effective tool which will enable you to demonstrate what you can do for your potential clients. If you are unsure about precisely what you could provide clients at this stage, you need not worry. We have a dedicated Accredited Consultant Support Team here at Appleton Greene who will gladly help you to develop an eye catching and professional information guide, which meets with the required standard at Appleton Greene.
Time management
All of our member consultants will be in full time employment, either in their own capacity, or independently with Appleton Greene, so we understand that you are busy. It will only take you a few hours to develop an outline plan for your Appleton Greene Accredited Consulting Service (ACS) Client Information Guide. It would take you much longer for you to develop detailed individual proposals for your potential clients, or to try and explain to your potential clients precisely what you propose to do and how they might benefit. Indeed the more effort that you can put into your (ACS) Client Information Guide, the less time you will have to spend selling yourself during meetings and interviews and the higher your conversion rate will be. The ideal scenario would be to ensure that your (ACS) Client Information Guide contains enough information where your potential clients would be able to make a decision to employ your services without even meeting you. This is the core objective for all professional consultants. With this in mind, you can amend and update your (ACS) Client Information Guide over a sustainable period of time in order to ensure that it incorporates everything that you need it to. The more information that you can provide your potential clients with in advance, the better your chances of success will be.
Accredited Consultant Support Team (ACST)
It is understandably as much in our interests, as it is in yours, for us to ensure that your (ACS) Client Information Guide is developed and maintained to the highest possible standard. Your (ACS) Client Information Guide will not only constitute a reflection upon your abilities as a professional consultant, but upon our international corporate brand. We employ the services of a professional Accredited Consultant Support Team (ACST), who will be happy to help you, to ensure that your (ACS) Client Information Guide meets with the required standard. We have developed a time-effective process for you to do this efficiently yourself. You can forward your (ACS) Client Information Guide content to us simply by completing the relevant application form. This will then be evaluated and assessed by our Accredited Consultant Support Team (ACST) and if it does not meet with the required standard at Appleton Greene, then you will be provided with detailed recommendations for improvement. You can then have as many opportunities as you need to revise the contents of your (ACS) Client Information Guide until such a time as it does meet with the required Appleton Greene standard. You can also take as long as you need to in order to achieve this, there are no deadlines for completion. You can therefore develop and improve your (ACS) Client Information Guide, as you gain more experience, over a sustainable period of time, until you develop and establish a formidable marketing tool for your consultancy business.
Direct marketing
Once your Accredited Consulting Service (ACS) Client Information guide has been developed, approved and published, we will schedule a direct marketing email campaign for you, incorporating the steady distribution of communications over a sustainable period of time, ensuring that your (ACS) Client Information Guide is made available to over 500,000 contacts within the Appleton Greene global client network.
Multiple (ACS) Service Client Information Guides
Each individual (ACS) Client Information Guide is designed to focus upon ONE clearly defined consulting service, in order to avoid any unnecessary misunderstanding or misinterpretation and to enable clients to focus on the service being featured. If you have several different consulting services that you would like to offer clients, then you would need to develop one (ACS) Client Information Guide for each individual consulting service. You are welcome to do this if you would like to, but you would have to pay an additional (ACS) service fee for each individual (ACS) Client Information Guide that you require.
For example, you may want to develop separate marketing information guides for the following individual consulting services:
• Brand repositioning
• Product promotion
• Business development
• Sales management
• Communications optimization
If this is the case, then you would need to pay 5 separate (ACS) service fees, although a 20% discount is available on multiple (ACS) service orders. For example, the first (ACS) Client Information Guide would cost an Associate Consultant USD$950.00, an Executive Consultant USD$1,225.00 and a Senior Consultant USD$1,500.00, to include their Professional Profile listing, their first Accredited Consulting Service (ACS) Client Information Guide, together with four service order forms and their promotional marketing campaign to over 500,000 designated contacts within the Appleton Greene global client network. If any additional (ACS) Client Information Guides are required, after the first one, then these would cost an Associate Consultant USD$760.00, an Executive Consultant USD$980.00 and a Senior Consultant USD$1,200.00, inclusive of the 20% discount which is available on multiple (ACS) service orders.
Experience has shown that the more specific you can be about your consulting service the better. Clients always employ specialists, not generalists, when considering employing external consultants, so the more specific you can make your (ACS) Client Information Guide, the more chance you will have of potential clients identifying with your service and completing service orders.
It is entirely up to you to decide what your own personal requirements are and whether you would prefer to test the water, with just one consulting service, or whether you would prefer to promote more than one. The choice is yours.

Looking for a reliable source of qualified client leads, look no further. We prospect the ideal clients and the Key Decision Makers (KDM) on your behalf. Then you have the opportunity to discuss your client’s needs and then explain just how your program or service can satisfy those needs. You will be able to see precisely what communications have taken place and when, what email replies have been received, both positive and negative. You will be able to use the portal to review the prospects being contacted and to eliminate any that you do not deem to be appropriate. You will be able to see precisely how many communications have been engaged, delivered, opened and clicked and how many responses and leads have been received. You will also be able to monitor the performance of your campaigns by using the delivery rate and lead rate Prospectometers, all within one easy-to-use portal, which will be dedicated to your own personal campaigns.
Campaign Manager
You will also be allocated your own Marketing Campaign Manager (MCM), who will be facilitating your campaigns on your behalf and you can communicate with them directly through your Client Support Portal (CSP).
Cost & Payment Terms
The Client Prospecting Service (CPS) costs $5,000.00 for one campaign, Each campaign incorporates 1,000 prospects, resulting in between 15-30 leads and approximately 12 appointments. Each campaign is usually implemented over a period of 3 months. You would need to pay 50% of the service fee, that is to say $2,500.00, when you place your order, for us to be able to reserve your campaign position for you. The remaining 50% balance of your service fee, i.e. $2,500.00, would then be due for payment 30 days prior to your preferred campaign start date.
You can book as many campaigns as you like, subject of course to ongoing availability, during the months of January, April, July & October. You can expect to achieve between 15-30 leads or approximately 12 appointments with each individual campaign. These will be prospective clients who have expressed an interest in your program or service, from your chosen industry sectors and geographical locations during each 3 month campaign. On average, we are converting 3 client contracts from each campaign each paying either $1.5k/mo; $3k/mo; $4.5k/mo, or $6k/mo for Accredited Senior Consultants (ASC), with a minimum contract period of 12 months, that is to say between $18k/yr and $72k/yr. Not a bad return on investment. Obviously performance will vary considerably because each and every program and service will be different, but these are average performance results after taking into consideration all campaigns, so you could do more or less than this.
Return on Investment
Clients, Learning Providers and Consultants are currently converting an average of 20% of their 15-30 prospect leads into new business, that is to say 3 client contracts from each campaign, but let us be pessimistic and say, worst case scenario, that you only manage to convert 1 of the 15-30 leads into new business and with the smallest service option, the Bronze Client Service. That would still provide you with $1,500.00/mo or $18,000.00/yr and would constitute a very satisfying 360% return on investment. Additional campaigns can then be funded from the proceeds of your first campaigns and then it would just be a matter of scaling up at a pace that you feel comfortable with. The Client Prospecting Service (CPS) has a proven track record of success, even during the pandemic and provides a significant return on investment and value-for-money.
Our Recommendation
Given the continued uncertainty surrounding the pandemic and whether new waves are likely during the winter months, we would highly recommend that you book at least 1 Client Prospect Service (CPS) campaign if you are able to do so, because unlike traditional marketing campaigns, this service has proven to be resilient and successful during the pandemic.
Professional Email Marketing Campaigns (PEMC)
Video Watch
Once you have developed an outline plan for your proposed consulting service in the form of your Client Information Guide (CIG), the next priority is to ensure that the right people get to see it.
As an integral part of the Accredited Consulting Service (ACS), links to your Client Information Guide (CIG) will be provided within general news and information emails that are regularly distributed to 500,000 + contacts within the Appleton Greene global client network and this will certainly help to create awareness and to establish credibility for you over a sustainable period of time during your designated 12 month membership period, which will commence once your Client Information Guide (CIG) has been approved and published by Appleton Greene. However, these communications are understandably not exclusive to you or your consulting service and are not exclusive to your preferred industry sectors or geographical locations.
If you would like to be more proactive about getting your Client Information Guide (CIG) in front of the right Key Decision Makers (KDM), within companies where your service will constitute a Key Corporate Objective (KCO) for them, then we would recommend that you should undertake at least one clearly targeted Professional Email Marketing Campaign (PEMC) annually. This would exclusively promote your own consulting service and Client Information Guide (CIG), directly to Key Decision Makers (KDM) within the specific industry sectors and geographical locations that you yourself have chosen.
Why Email Marketing?
Emails are still the No 1 choice for business-to-business and business-to-consumer communications for professional service providers. The majority of people have access to their computers at some point during the day. Those who do not, access their email accounts through their mobile devices. Email is still the most popular way to communicate and that is why, as a professional business service provider, email marketing should always be an integral part of your marketing strategy. Emails enable us to feature more content, they can be saved on file, they can be read several times over, they can refer to more detailed information on your web site and they can incorporate a clear call to action. Email marketing still represents the most cost effective and secure means of communication, the most instant and the most user-friendly. Email marketing is also the easiest marketing strategy to measure performance with. We can now provide detailed statistics relating to precisely how many emails are being received and opened, how many users are using links within the email to visit your web site, what pages they are visiting, how many times and most importantly, who they are. The Professional Email Marketing Campaign (PEMC) service also has a proven return on investment, achieved over a sustainable period of 25 years. It also still remains the most cost-effective means of advertising for professional service providers and should be entirely self-financing after your first campaign.

Proactive direct marketing
If you would like to be more proactive about getting your professional business services in front of the right Key Decision Makers (KDM), within companies where your service will constitute a Key Corporate Objective (KCO) for them, then we would recommend that you should undertake at least one Appleton Greene Professional Email Marketing Campaign (PEMC) annually. This would exclusively promote your own professional business services, directly to Key Decision Makers (KDM) within the specific industry sectors and geographical locations that you yourself have chosen. Each Professional Email Marketing Campaign (PEMC) costs from $2,500.00 to $10,000.00 annually and includes: the acquisition of between 2,500 & 10,000 new company business contacts; 12 monthly email marketing campaigns, incorporating between 30,000 & 120,000 emails; a professional campaign management service, your own campaign manager and a proven return on investment.
Return on investment
A typical campaign results in an average return of (1%) information requests being generated and (0.25%) client service orders being received. Given the average professional business service fee of $5,750.00, charged by our clients and using the Gold Service as an example, this therefore represents $109,250.00 in new business revenue and a staggering 1,456% return on investment, for each campaign. The cost of your Professional Email Marketing Campaigns (PEMC) should therefore be entirely self-financing after your first campaign and you can then scale-up the quantity and size of the campaigns that you will require, in order to achieve your new business revenue targets.

Google AdWords
Google AdWords
Appleton Greene partners with Google to achieve new business over the internet. Google is the undisputed No.1 internet search engine, indeed an estimated 80% of online searches are undertaken through Google and it is therefore no surprise to see that 80% of new business, that is developed online, is therefore derived through their Google AdWords service. Google has been a valuable online partner for Appleton Greene for 18 years now and their AdWords campaigns are currently contributing to over 50% of all new business that is developed for Certified Learning Providers (CLP), once they are qualified and when their corporate training programs are advertised internationally through Appleton Greene. Google’s AdWords service has been modified and improved considerably during that time and Appleton Greene has gained valuable experience in how to maximize the return-on-investment with these campaigns. Indeed the majority of Appleton Greene’s clients also use Google AdWords for their own new online business requirements and from our own research, Google AdWords regularly contributes between 50%-80% of new online customers for our clients’ companies as well. With such a high market share of the new business development market online, Google AdWords should be an integral part of any proactive business development strategy, for companies and consulting practices. The Google AdWords service is also available to Certified Learning Providers (CLP), once their Client Information Hub (CIH) and 1st Workshop Development Process (WDP1) have both been approved and published by Appleton Greene. As with all Appleton Greene services, the Google AdWords service is entirely optional, but if used properly, the service will contribute at least 50% of a Certified Learning Provider’s (CLP) new business online and is directly targeted towards clients who are specifically looking for your Unique Program Proposition (UPP).
How It Works
The general idea is to make it easy for any potential clients who are actively looking for your Unique Program Proposition (UPP), to be able to find it. For example, if you typed “Appleton Greene & Co” into Google Search, followed by your “Program Title”, you will probably find that a link to your Client Information Hub (CIH) already appears on the first page of Google Search. This is because your Client Information Hub (CIH) is regularly submitted to search engines by Appleton Greene to ensure that it is visible online. However, if you were just to initiate a search on Google for your “Program Title” alone, then a link to your Client Information Hub (CIH) will probably not be visible. This is because of the quantity of competition online. You may however notice some links that are marked in bold or are marked “Ad” by Google, that are located either towards the top of the page, or separately on the right-hand side of the page. These are companies or individuals who have paid for the privilege of having their link on the front page for a particular search, within a particular location. It is widely assumed that customers will only search on the first 2 pages before conducting another search, so Google AdWords ensures that your listing is featured prominently on the first page for a certain period of time and while a budget is still available.
Google charges its AdWords customers on a Pay Per Click (PPC) basis. This means that customers are charged whenever someone clicks on their advert link. Google explains that customers only pay for results, that is to say, you only pay if someone clicks on your Advert. This does not of course guarantee that the person who clicks on your advert will do business with you, but it does at least guarantee that they have visited your Client Information Hub (CIH). So, Google AdWords is all about directing internet traffic to your Client Information Hub (CIH) and as with any marketing campaign, the more shots at goal that you have, the more goals likely to be scored. Google also explains that you can start with any budget: “You set your own budget, so your costs will depend on what you are trying to accomplish with your advertising. Some businesses spend thousands of dollars a month, and others are investing several million.” In fact the way that it works, is that your Google Ad will only remain visible until such a time as your budget has been reached, then it disappears. Also, if someone is bidding more for the same search words, then their Google Ads will be featured more prominently and more often. We have clients who regularly spend millions of dollars each and every month on Google AdWords. However, in our experience, a company or individual can achieve regular business, starting with a minimum budget of say $10k per month, and can then scale up their AdWords budget as a percentage of sales, to ensure that their campaigns are self-financing moving forwards. Google AdWords does work and it works well. However, as with any form of marketing, success will ultimately be achieved by implementing marketing campaigns over a sustainable period of time, usually 12 months, in order to establish a consistent program brand reputation with your customers.
Appleton Greene’s Google AdWords Service
Where Appleton Greene has already achieved success with Certified Learning Providers (CLP), is instead of creating a Google Ad that just provides a link to one corporate training program, it creates a separate web page, or splash page, which provides a list of approximately 12 participating interchanging corporate training programs. The cost of the Google Advert remains the same, because customers are still only being directed by a URL link to one web page, but that web page will incorporate a list of corporate training programs, including their program titles and links to their individual information hubs. Hence the cost of the advertising is shared by a participating group of Certified Learning Providers (CLP), who are then each only charged a one-off payment of $5,100.00 for a 3-month campaign, 17% of the recommended minimum quarterly cost. This means that they collectively have the mutual benefit of implementing a 3-month Google AdWords campaign, for just over 17% of the usual cost! All of the participating program titles are featured within the Google AdWords campaign, which means that if a potential customer searches for an individual program title, it would still be featured and of course these campaigns are all managed proactively. Certified Learning Providers (CLP) each earn a minimum of $300k annually during the development phase and with 4 quarterly Google Adverts Campaigns (GAC), they usually spend approximately 6.8% of their residual income on Appleton Greene Google AdWords campaigns. This in turn contributes to approximately 50% of their new business with corporate training program sales, which represents a massive 1,000% return on investment.
This means that any potential client who is actively looking and searching for your Unique Program Proposition (UPP) via Google, at any time during this 3-month period, will have an opportunity to review your Client Information Hub (CIH). Success with any online marketing campaign is ultimately determined by directing as much internet traffic as possible, to what it is that you have to offer. Google AdWords campaigns certainly achieve this. Your Client Information Hub (CIH) provides potential clients with professional and detailed information about your corporate training program, the means to arrange a telephone conference with you and ultimately a direct link to a program order form, making it easy for potential clients to place program orders directly with you. The objective now is to ensure that as many people as possible have the opportunity to see this.

Service Charges
Qualification Criteria
Appleton Greene & Co Accredited Consultants are incorporated within the following three designations:

They should also have 10 years senior executive board level experience OR should have achieved annual gross billing in excess of USD $200k. Executive Consultants should have achieved a MBA or business-related Masters’ degree. They should also have 10 years management or consulting experience OR should have achieved annual gross billing in excess of USD $100k. Associate Consultants should have achieved a BBA or business-related degree. They should also have 5 years management or consulting experience.
Time & Relocation
Time management
All Appleton Greene accredited consultant forecasts are based upon a part-time contribution of 20 hours per week, although this is flexible and consultants are able to work more or less time than this if required. It also means that Appleton Greene consultants operate independently and are responsible for managing their own time. You can therefore manage your Appleton Greene activities and assignments around your other work, education and social commitments to ensure that you retain a healthy work-life balance. There is no need for consultants to resign from their current positions in order to become an Appleton Greene accredited consultant. Indeed we advise all consultants to remain as active as possible with their current employment or consultancy engagements, even if they are currently working full time. This enables member consultants to consider Appleton Greene consultancy assignments from a position of financial strength, which ensures that the right assignments are ultimately selected and member consultants can then phase out their current work commitments, over a sustainable period of time, as and when they are adequately replaced by Appleton Greene consultancy assignments. This enables member consultants to mitigate any unnecessary financial risk.
Relocation
The Appleton Greene approach to global localization, means that there is no need for member consultants to relocate, unless of course they would like to. The majority of Appleton Greene accredited consultants work remotely over the internet using the Appleton Greene Cloud Servers and are invariably assisting Certified Learning Providers with the implementation of their standard and bespoke programs. If an accredited consultant is selected for an assignment, it will be because of their unique service, industry, or location skills and experience, regardless of where they may be located personally. If an accredited consultant is required to attend the client’s premises for any reason, then this is likely to be as a result of their unique location and as such travel is usually restricted to local national travel. In such circumstances, clients will always cover the cost of any disbursements relating to travel and accommodation.
