Executive Summary
Once you have developed an outline plan for your Unique Consulting Service Proposition (UCSP) in the form of your Client Information Guide (CIG), or your proposed Unique Program Proposition (UPP) in the form of your Client Information Hub (CIH), the next priority is to ensure that the right people get to see it.
As an integral part of the Accredited Consulting Service (ACS) and the Certified Learning Provider (CLP) program, links to your Client Information Guide (CIG), or Client Information Hub (CIH), will be provided within general news and information emails that are regularly distributed to 500,000+ client contacts within the Appleton Greene global client network and this will certainly help to create awareness and to establish credibility for you over a sustainable period of time during your designated 12 month membership period, which will commence once your Client Information Guide (CIG), of Client Information Hub (CIH), has been approved and published by Appleton Greene. However, these communications are understandably not exclusive to you or your consulting service, or corporate training program and are not exclusive to your preferred industry sectors or geographical locations either. Indeed many of the companies, industry sectors and geographical locations will probably not be relevant to you or your proposed Unique Consulting Service Proposition (UCSP), or Unique Program Proposition (UPP). These general news emails will also feature the profiles of hundreds of other Accredited Associate, Executive and Senior Consultants and Certified Learning Providers.
Being Proactive
If you would like to be more proactive about getting your Client Information Guide (CIG) or Client Information (Hub) in front of the right Key Decision Makers (KDM), within companies where your service or program will constitute a Key Corporate Objective (KCO) for them, then we would recommend that you should undertake at least one clearly targeted Email Marketing Campaign (EMC) annually. This would exclusively promote your own Client Information Guide (CIG) or Client Information Hub (CIH), directly to Key Decision Makers (KDM) within the specific industry sectors and geographical locations that you yourself have chosen. Each individual Email Marketing Campaign (EMC) costs Accredited Consultants and Learning Providers USD$2,000.00 and includes: the acquisition of 10,000 new company database contacts; 12 monthly email marketing campaigns incorporating 120,000 emails; a professional campaign management service and a proven return on investment. In the case of Accredited Consultants, a typical campaign results in an average return of 10 (0.1%) information requests being generated and 5 (0.05%) client service orders being received. Even if these were all Bronze Client Service Orders, it would still generate USD$30,000.00 for Associate Consultants, USD$60,000.00 for Executive Consultants and USD$90,000.00 for Senior Consultants. Even 1 Bronze Client Service order would still generate an average of USD$12,000.00 and would provide a 600% return on investment. With Certified Learning Providers (CLP), the conversion rate is 2.5, or (0.25%) program orders being received. One Email Marketing Campaign (EMC) would therefore ordinarily generate USD$60,000.00 for Learning Providers resulting in a 3000% return on investment. It is therefore easy to understand why Appleton Greene receives so many repeat orders from consultants and learning providers and why proactive consultants and learning providers will plan several Email Marketing Campaigns (EMC) every year until such a time as they have an established client base. The cost of your Email Marketing Campaigns (EMC) should be self-financing once you are established.
Accredited Consultants
Please note that the income projections that are provided within your Accredited Consulting Service (ACS) Candidate Information Guide (CIG) are based upon an average of what all Accredited Consultants achieve annually at Appleton Greene. However, in order to establish a full portfolio of clients within the first 12 months, Accredited Consultants will usually implement approximately 4 Email Marketing Campaigns (EMC). These campaigns should be entirely self-financing once you are established. Once established, Accredited Consultants usually just plan one Email Marketing Campaign (EMC) every year in order to top up their client base. Ideally, your first Email Marketing Campaign (EMC) should be planned to commence from the time when your Client Information Guide (CIG) is approved and activated by Appleton Greene. Your 12 month Email Marketing Campaign (EMC) can then coincide with your first 12 months Accredited Consulting Service (ACS) membership period. Email Marketing Campaign (EMC) positions are understandably subject to ongoing availability, so you should plan your first campaign in advance.
Certified Learning Providers (CLP)
A typical campaign results in an average return of 10 (0.1%) information requests being generated and 2.5 (0.025%) client program orders being received. This represents an income of USD$5k per month, or USD$60k per year and therefore represents a 3,000% return on investment. A Learning Provider will usually implement approximately 4 exclusive Email Marketing Campaigns (EMC), to achieve a full and complete portfolio of 10 clients, earning an income of USD$30k per month, or USD$300k per year. It is therefore easy to understand why Appleton Greene receives so many repeat orders from Learning Providers and why proactive Learning Providers will plan several Email Marketing Campaigns (EMC) every year until such a time as they have an established client base. The cost of your Email Marketing Campaigns (EMC) should be self-financing once you are established.
Exclusivity
Appleton Greene Email Marketing Campaigns (EMC) exclusively market only your Client Information Guide (CIG) or Client Information Hub (CIH) and target only your specific industry sectors and geographical locations. It is a tried and tested process that is used to closely match the Unique Consulting Service Propositions (UCSP) of Accredited Consultants and the Unique Program Propositions (UPP) of Certified Learning Providers (CLP) with the Key Corporate Objectives (KCO) of the right client companies. In other words, matching the right consultant or learning provider with the right client. The 12 monthly emails will focus entirely upon your own Unique Consulting Service Proposition (UCSP) as featured within your Client Information Guide (CIG), or your own Unique Program Proposition (UPP) as featured within your Client Information Hub (CIH). This ensures that the Key Decision Makers (KDM) within your chosen industry sectors and geographical locations will be able to focus exclusively upon what you personally have to offer them.
Contacts
10,000 database contacts are obtained exclusively from your own choice of industry sectors and geographical locations, featuring: Contact Name; Job Title; Company Name; Company Address; Web Site Address; Industry Sector; Geographical Location. You can select up to 5 industry sectors, in order preference and 5 geographical locations, in order of preference. You can also select the size of the companies that you would like to target in terms of annual sales and the number of employees. This ensures that your contacts will be as close a match as possible to your preferred client portfolio. Appleton Greene has a large global database of companies and contacts the contact information is guaranteed to be valid. Indeed all Appleton Greene contacts have opted into receiving information twice, firstly, when they initially complete an application or registration form and secondly, when we send them an email to confirm that they would like to receive information from us. Appleton Greene achieves this by implementing strict terms and conditions on its contact database procedures. Invalid email addresses are traditionally referred to as hard bounces and can constitute as much as 15% of the overall database in some cases. This means that approximately 1,500 of the 10,000 contacts could potentially have invalid email addresses due to key employees moving onto other positions within other companies, so it is important to ensure that these are updated in order to guarantee 10,000 valid email addresses. Different contact database laws apply to different countries. If your chosen client companies are located anywhere within the United States of America, Europe, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, Japan and China, then we will not have any problem providing you with at least 10,000 company contacts from Appleton Greene’s Global Contact Database (GCD) annually. For other locations and emerging markets, we may need to check on availability. Remember that you need to select geographical locations where your prospective client companies will be located, not the locations where you may be resident.
Email Marketing
12 x monthly email marketing campaigns, to commence once your Client Information Guide (CIG) or Client Information Hub (CIH) has been approved and published by Appleton Greene. Email Marketing Campaigns (EMC) are a tried and tested means of marketing for consultancy services and corporate training programs because they are direct and because the prospective client has the opportunity to read and consider content relating to your proposed Unique Consulting Service Proposition (UCSP) or Unique Program Proposition (UPP) over a sustainable period of time. If it is quite clear to the client that your (UCSP) or (UPP) would satisfy a Key Corporate Objective (KCO) that they currently have, then the first email will certainly motivate them to take action. In some cases, while the initial emails may generate interest, it may just not be the right time and this is why Appleton Greene Email Marketing Campaigns (EMC) are implemented over a sustainable period of time, usually 12 months. Recipients can always Unsubscribe at any stage if they are not interested in receiving emails from Appleton Greene, or about your consulting service or corporate training program, but in our experience, even if a Key Corporate Objective (KCO) is not currently deemed to be mission critical, it may be later on and a consistent email campaign can serve to gently remind potential clients about different aspects relating to the consultant’s Unique Consulting Service Proposition (UCSP), or a Learning Provider’s Unique Program Proposition (UPP). It is important to ensure that all of the emails look the same, from a corporate branding point of view, but contain different content and different marketing messages. Appleton Greene has created standard templates for such emails over the years, which can be amended to suit each individual consultant’s, or learning provider’s requirements, ensuring that all emails contain unique content, which is informative, engaging and achieves results.
Service Cost
USD$2,000.00 – Includes: The acquisition of 10,000 company database contacts from Appleton Greene’s Global Contact Database (GCD); 12 monthly email marketing campaigns incorporating 120,000 emails; Professional campaign management service; Proven return on investment. The cost of your Email Marketing Campaigns (EMC) should be self-financing once you are established.
The Numbers

Accredited Consultants
Please note that the income projections that are provided within your Accredited Consulting Service (ACS) Candidate Information Guide (CIG) are based upon an average of what all Accredited Consultants achieve annually at Appleton Greene. However, in order to establish a full portfolio of clients within the first 12 months, Accredited Consultants will usually implement approximately 4 Email Marketing Campaigns (EMC) during their first year. Once established, Accredited Consultants usually just plan one Email Marketing Campaign (EMC) every year thereafter in order to top up their client base. Ideally, your first Email Marketing Campaign (EMC) should be planned to commence from the time when your Client Information Guide (CIG) is approved and activated by Appleton Greene. Your 12 month Email Marketing Campaign (EMC) can then coincide with your first 12 months Accredited Consulting Service (ACS) period. Email Marketing Campaign (EMC) positions are understandably subject to ongoing availability, so you should plan your first campaigns in advance in order to avoid disappointment.
Certified Learning Providers (CLP)
For Certified Learning Providers (CLP), a typical Email Marketing Campaign (EMC) usually results in an average return of 10 (0.1%) information requests being generated and 2.5 (0.025%) client program orders being received. This represents an income of USD$5k per month, or USD$60k per year and therefore amounts to a 3,000% return on investment. The cost of your Email Marketing Campaigns (EMC) should then be self-financing once you are established.
Why It Works
Appleton Greene Email Marketing Campaigns (EMC) work because they are direct. (EMC) campaigns: create awareness; establish credibility; target decision-makers; engage client interest; encourage communications; identify key corporate objectives and achieve client commitment, all with minimal contribution required from Accredited Consultants or Learning Providers. Indeed you may well have first learned about Appleton Greene yourself as a direct result of an Email Marketing Campaign (EMC). Many consultants try to achieve business through networking, but this is usually a very time consuming and non-productive process and constitutes a scatter gun approach to business development. Indeed the majority of Appleton Greene consultants and learning providers have now moved away from professional and social networks altogether in favor of more tangible services that are provided by established commercial organizations. It also enables them to retain a professional and clean personal image online. Email Marketing Campaigns (EMC) constitute a direct marketing and business development tool, which has been tried and tested over a sustainable period of time and enables you to place your consulting service or corporate training program in front of a much larger number of clearly targeted decision-makers without having to dedicate much in the way of time or financial resources.
It is difficult to think of any marketing or business development strategy for consultants or learning providers, that could cost as little as USD$2,000.00 and yet still provide a proven return on investment of between 600% and 3,000%, unless the consultant or learning provider already has an established client base and achieves new business through strategic alliances.

Resources
Appleton Greene provides: Corporate Brand Promotion (CBP); Database Contact Suppliers (DCS); Email Service Providers (ESP); Contact Management Systems (CMS) and Service Order Processing (SOP). Appleton Greene has a team of professional database managers, email service managers, campaign managers and contact managers within the Accredited Consulting Service (ACS) and Certified Learning Provider (CLP) departments. Appleton Greene also uses the services of a variety of different third party Contact Database Suppliers (CDS), Email Service Providers (ESP) and Application Program Interfaces (API) worldwide. As Email Marketing Campaigns (EMC) have become an integral part of the business development service that Appleton Greene consistently provides Accredited Associate, Executive and Senior Consultants and Certified Learning Providers (CLP). Indeed the Accredited Consulting Service (ACS) department and the Certified Learning Provider (CLP) department have both evolved into professional tried and tested resources for Appleton Greene consultants and learning providers.
Time Planning
You should coincide your first Email Marketing Campaign (EMC) to commence from the month when your Client Information Guide (CIG) or Client Information Hub (CIH) has been approved and published by Appleton Greene. Until such a time as these have been approved and published, it is not possible to conduct an Email Marketing Campaign (EMC), because the Client Information Guide (CIG) and Client Information Hub (CIH) are what are used by Appleton Greene to promote your Unique Consulting Service Proposition (UCSP) or Unique Program Proposition (UPP) and they are the platforms from which prospective clients will place service or program orders with you. However, Email Marketing Campaigns (EMC) are subject to ongoing availability and therefore need to be planned in advance. Campaigns can normally be booked and reserved up to 12 months in advance, by completing an (EMC) Service Order Form and by paying the (EMC) Campaign Service Fee. Campaigns cannot be reserved unless both the service order form and campaign service fee have been received by Appleton Greene. Campaigns are usually planned to commence from January, April, July and October each year. So if you have just had your Client Information Guide (CIG) or Client Information Hub (CIH) approved and published by Appleton Greene, you would be well advised to reserve your first Email Marketing Campaigns (EMC) as soon as possible, during the next available month, if you have not already done so. If you have not yet developed your Client Information Guide (CIG) or Client Information Hub (CIH), then you will need to plan a month when you propose to complete it. You can then select the next available month as your proposed campaign start date and reserve your campaign requirements in advance, subject of course to ongoing availability.
Be Proactive – Plan Ahead
Remember that you will need to be able to plan ahead in order to secure a campaign place. If your current commitments then prevent you from completing your Client Information Guide (CIG) or Client Information Hub (CIH) on time, the campaign place that you have already reserved can simply be moved onto the next available month, so you need not worry about this. If it gets to the stage where there is no further availability for Email Marketing Campaigns (EMC) during the forthcoming calendar year, then you can be placed on a waiting list pending any late cancellations or postponements. Late cancellations are rare of course and you may need to reserve a campaign for the following year, which means that you would then need to renew your annual Accredited Consulting Service (ACS) for a further 12 months first, or apply for a Study Period Extension (SPE) with your Certified Learning Provider (CLP) program. This could also delay your consulting practice or corporate training practice from becoming established at Appleton Greene for a further 12 months, so please ensure that you are able to reserve your campaign positions as soon as possible in order to avoid disappointment later on.
Cost Planning
The cost of your Email Marketing Campaigns (EMC) should be entirely self-financing once you are established. On average consultants receive approximately 5 service orders and learning providers receive approximately 2.5 program orders from each individual Email Marketing Campaign (EMC). This will therefore be scale-able for you, depending upon your income requirements, budget availability and how much you would like to achieve and when. For example, as soon as you have achieved your first clients at Appleton Greene from your first Email Marketing Campaigns (EMC), then you can order additional campaigns from the financial proceeds of your current client income. You can then finance and order as many additional campaigns as you may need until such a time as you have reached your own client portfolio peak. You can then establish a comfortable work-life balance by adjusting your client portfolio to what you consider to be feasible.
Cost Comparisons
The accepted industry standard average cost of a good quality database contact is USD$0.50, meaning that 10,000 contacts would normally cost USD$5,000.00. One email campaign to 10,000 contacts would cost an additional USD$5,000.00 and this would just incorporate one email blast. Appleton Greene campaigns are implemented over a period of 12 months and incorporate 120,000 emails. Appleton Greene significantly reduces the cost based upon an economy of scale. Appleton Greene now manages approximately 500 Email Marketing Campaigns (EMC) internationally, each and every year, for Accredited Associate, Executive and Senior Consultants and another 500 Email Marketing Campaigns (EMC) internationally, each and every year, for Certified Learning Providers (CLP). The complete Appleton Greene Email Marketing Campaign (EMC) service only costs USD$2,000.00 and includes everything that you could possibly need for a successful campaign and is exclusively available through Appleton Greene to Accredited Consultants and Learning Providers. This represents a significant saving for Accredited Consultants and Learning Providers and provides the benefit of a consistent corporate brand with all business development communications. Appleton Greene also provides: Corporate Brand Promotion (CBP); Database Contact Suppliers (DCS); Email Service Providers (ESP); Contact Management Systems (CMS) and Service Order Processing (SOP), all services which would not be provided within the cost comparisons detailed above. The Appleton Greene Email Marketing Campaign (EMC) service therefore constitutes very good value for your dollar.
Compliance
Appleton Greene Email Marketing Campaigns (EMC) comply with all international laws relating to database contact management and email marketing.
Due to the welcome introduction of anti-spam laws within most international jurisdictions, Email Marketing Campaigns (EMC) need to be professionally managed in order to ensure that your emails reach their targets and arrive safely within the inboxes of Key Decision Makers (KDM). All of the contacts within our databases have opted into receiving information from either Appleton Greene or our associated partners. They can also opt out at any stage simply by clicking on the clearly illustrated Unsubscribe button and all opt-out requests are processed automatically in real time. The legal requirement is within 5 business days. Invalid email addresses (hard bounces) and rejected email accounts are also removed within 24 hours. Appleton Greene also uses the services of reliable, scale-able and secure delivery email service providers for both transactional and marketing emails. Trusted by more than 500,000 customers, Appleton Greene runs a globally distributed infrastructure that can deliver emails to worldwide locations in milliseconds from dedicated IP addresses. Appleton Greene’s professional email management procedure ensures that our IP addresses are never featured on any black lists and subsequently ensures that our email delivery rate is consistently maintained at between 99% and 100%. As such, our email service reputation is always classed as Excellent.
Availability
Appleton Greene now manages 1,000 Email Marketing Campaigns (EMC) annually, or 250 campaigns per quarter during January, April, July and October every year. This equates to 500 campaigns annually for Accredited Consultants and another 500 campaigns annually for Learning Providers, 80% of which are repeat orders. This service is therefore subject to ongoing availability. Please check your Email Marketing Service (EMC) invitation email for information about current campaign availability for the forthcoming calendar year. Alternatively, please forward an email to the Accredited Consultant Service (ACS) department or the Certified Learning Provider (CLP) department at Appleton Greene and we will gladly confirm current availability for you.
How To Apply
If you would like to order an Email Marketing Campaign (EMC), please remember to ensure that Appleton Greene has received your service order form on or before the closing date for applications, which will be clearly featured within the subject line and towards the top of your Email Marketing Campaign (EMC) email communication. The service order form will take approximately 30 minutes to complete and this will then be forwarded automatically onto Appleton Greene.
To reserve your campaign position, please: CLICK HERE and click on the Email Marketing Campaign (EMC) Service Order Form box. This will transfer you directly to the appropriate service order form and you then just need to follow the instructions accordingly.
You will also need to pay your Email Marketing Campaign (EMC) service fee of USD$2,000.00, in order to reserve your campaign position. Campaigns cannot be reserved unless both your service order form and your campaign service fee have been received by Appleton Greene. However, you only need to pay 50% of your service fee in advance, that is to say USD$1,000.00 at the time when you place your service order, in order to reserve your campaign position. The remaining balance of USD$1,000.00 would not then be due for payment until 30 days prior to your proposed campaign start date.
